QUALITY ASSURANCE ENGINEER:

This position is for a Quality Engineer to manage and perform the functions of Quality Assurance.  The Engineer will report directly to the COO and will have responsibilities for both day to day Quality activities and overall company Quality.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform quality inspections for all outgoing shipments. 
• Maintain trend analysis for manufacturing and field failures.  Chair monthly quality meeting.
• Apply proactive, systematic problem-solving methodologies in identifying, prioritizing, communicating and resolving quality issues.
• Initiate and review ECOs.  Interface with Manufacturing, Test, Engineering and Suppliers to troubleshoot quality/reliability issues and implement effective solutions.
• Interface with all departments to provide leadership on the use of Quality Engineering methodologies, regulatory requirements, etc and assist in solving day-to-day quality issues.
• Develop and revise departmental policies and procedures in line with the Quality System.
• Develops and implements testing, evaluation and inspection methodology and documentation for new and existing products.
• Supervise incoming inspection.
• Represent the company in Quality related communication and meetings with customers.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Physics, Quality or Equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in QA.
• Working knowledge of Statistical Methodologies and Analysis.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills combined with a strong technical presence.
• Knowledge of regulations applicable to GMP or ISO required.
• Experience in the manufacture of Scientific, Analytical or Biotech instrumentation a plus.
