Our Digital Light Source systems can be used to test or to calibrate sensors and sensing systems of various types, including: 

• Simple (Monolithic) Sensors
• Sensor Arrays: CMOS, CCD, Diode-Array
• Imaging Systems: Cameras, Telescopes, Microscopes

Digital Light Sources are typically coupled to the device under test by some type of uniform illumination optics. One of two broad types of illuminator may be chosen, depending on the type of device: 

Illuminance/Irradiance Applications:

• Device under test: Simple Sensor or Sensor Array
• Illuminator Type: Projection Tube
• Units of Calibration: Illuminance (lumen/m²) or Irradiance (W/m²)

Luminance/Radiance Applications:

• Device under test: Imaging System
• Illuminator Type: Integrating Sphere
• Units of Calibration: Luminance (cd/m²) or Radiance (W/cm²sr)
